Andivi has received the Red Dot Design Award 2026 in the Product Design category for the Alledio Multi Sensor. The award recognizes a product that pairs advanced indoor environmental monitoring with a minimalist design language built for commercial and public interiors.
Announced in May 2026 and based in Maribor, Slovenia, the recognition sits with the Product Design jury’s focus on clarity, build quality, and how well a device belongs in real spaces — not only on a datasheet.
What the Alledio Multi Sensor does
In a single wall-mounted device, the Multi Sensor measures temperature, humidity, CO₂, VOC, pressure, and occupancy, and speaks open Modbus and BACnet (including MS/TP and IP). That mix supports precise indoor climate control, energy-aware HVAC strategies, and healthier indoor environments for offices, hotels, healthcare, and OEM product lines.
Beyond raw readings, it also computes enthalpy, dew point, and moist air density — values that matter when you optimize heat exchangers, ventilation, and efficient HVAC operation.
Design that steps back
The enclosure was shaped around “invisible presence”: a neutral object that complements architecture instead of competing with it. Color variants (including Bright White and Blurred Black) help the sensor sit quietly across different interiors while keeping functionality, reliability, and measurement accuracy front and center.
Sustainability was part of the brief too — reduced material use, optimized recyclable packaging, and lower energy consumption across the product’s lifecycle.
Commissioning without extra tools
Installers and system integrators can commission with a smartphone: bring the phone close to the device, open the configuration interface, and set communication parameters, addresses, ranges, and calibration offsets. Less specialized software, less time on site.
A note from Andivi
Tadej Muršič says the award reflects decisiveness in product development:
“Product design is decision-making. It’s being clear on what is wanted and how, and even clearer on what is intolerable. In hardware, that becomes especially difficult when you’re also pushing at the edges of manufacturing — where every detail has consequences, and every compromise has a cost.”
He adds:
“To me, good design represents clarity, discipline, and respect — for the user, for the product, and for the business.”
And on the team behind the Multi Sensor:
“What makes me most proud is the entire Andivi team. Our advantage lies in staying small: versatile skill sets, determined problem-solvers, strong engagement, and almost no time lost in unnecessary meetings. Just people who care deeply, think clearly, and build with intent.”
Built for integrators and OEM partners
The Multi Sensor is aimed at integrators, manufacturers, and system partners who need a reliable, flexible, open sensing platform. Standard Modbus RS485, BACnet MS/TP, and BACnet IP make it straightforward to plug into existing BMS and SCADA setups.
